REVIEW
DARK PUMPKIN HAUNTED TRAIL - INVASION:  This dark trail takes you through the consequences of a UFO crash site.  Our government has apparently shot the craft out of the sky for violating our airspace, and the downed saucer still emits smoke from its recent impact with the Earth.  Various characters are encountered along the restricted area, from military personnel, to aliens themselves, who have carried some sort of deadly virus into our atmosphere.  Investigators equip themselves with gas masks as a safety precaution in order to avoid contracting the contagious infection.  But is it too late?  American scientists, doctors and soldiers already appear to be symptomatic, and are being turned into killers.  Remote medical and laboratory facilities, initially set up to treat the injured, both human and alien, are now under the control of these contagious combatants, and provide cover for more scares.  Warnings ring out cautioning of an imminent retaliatory attack, as another UFO appears directly overhead!  Even our beloved American Flag's not safe as Old Glory packs an unexpected surprise of its own as you make your way through the Dark Pumpkin Haunted Trail, to a chainsaw chase-out of Invasion.

Analysis:
LENGTH - 7, Just over 10 min.
ACTORS - 6, Those present did their best to frighten us, but needed many more, especially aliens, and perhaps an as yet uninfected army regimen chasing through the wooded area waving their rifles.
SCARINESS - 6½, Could potentially score higher with  more action from additional characters.
DESIGN -7, A unique theme sets them apart from traditional haunts.  An original, although unproven concept, and not exactly what one would expect to be associated with Halloween.  Likely to improve over time, as scenes and characters continue to be added.  The chainsaw chase-out doesn't make sense.
PROPS - 6, Flying saucers are best, and the lab set-up is nice, but could stand quite a bit more, which is sure to come as the haunt continues to grow.
VALUE - 4, $10 is somewhat overzealous.  Just don't see a family of 4 investing $42, considering their close proximity to much larger, less expensive productions.  Parking proceeds benefit the Gratis Volunteer Fire Department.
RATING:  6, Would recommend adding some government officials early on discussing the situation among themselves in order to better inform patrons of what they're about to witness.   Additional military personnel would also be an attribute, as would the presence of some threatening aliens.  Just about any plausible characters would be beneficial.  This first year haunt is unique, but has a lot of unrecognized potential.  Try to take advantage of the Friday night discount coupon if possible.
