REVIEW
NIGHTMARE ON VALLEY STREETAn elaborate, black-lit hearse stands guard just outside the entrance to the Nightmare.  Relentless chainsaw wielding madmen immediately initiate you into the Valley Street trail, where trademark bloodstained crosses, and severed body parts are strewn about the area.  From behind, a voice beckons, "Hey boys, look back here!"  Upon compliance with the request, a loud gunshot rings out, and you're shocked to actually witness the flash from the report of the deadly weapon aiming directly at you!  Run for your very lives, and encounter ghosts moving about in the trees, enormous grim reapers, Michael Myers attacking from the woods, and ghouls, previously concealed by darkness, zipping past overhead, and descending upon you out of the trees, as you fight your way along the winding path.  Flying sparks, strobes, and excellent scary sounds and music join forces to accent the terrifying experience.  More chainsaws, clowns, a bloody bride, and a demented car crash scene give rise to more surprises, as they build up to an extreme quad chase, followed by a pitch black maze finish to Nightmare on Valley Street.

Analysis:
LENGTH - 9, Between 20 and 25 minutes.
ACTORS - 8, Some of the most unstable characters around - intense whith the execution of their roles, but not a tremendous amount of dialogue.  A little more make-up than in years past, but still a huge reliance on masks.  Nice to see the return of the gigantic Grim Reaper!  Tree ghouls, and "zip line" character deliver astonishing scares.
SCARINESS - 9, Non-stop persistence on the part of the chainsaw packing lunatics, and a surplus of surprises coming from ALL directions!  Clever utilization of motorized vehicles provides legitimate, heart-pounding scares.  Low hanging branches illuminating from the bouncing light of numerous strobes adds to the mystique, and combines with outstanding sound effects, including the high-pitched shrieks of nearby bats!
DESIGN - 9, A lengthier course, and a pitch black maze finish are among the additions.  The twelve-foot tall Grim Reaper, conspicuous by his absence one year ago, makes his triumphant return and brings a friend with him!  Strategically placed signs assist with navigation.
PROPS - 8, Not an abundance of high-tech props, but no noticeable dead spots either.  You're always under siege from someone, or someTHING.  Alternate methods of providing scares are employed to near perfection.
VALUE - 8½, Only $9 with their website coupon gains admission to an extreme haunt, and arguably the scariest trail around.
RATING:  8½, The insanity continues at Nightmare on Valley Street.  In a hurry?  Bypass the crowd by taking advantage of the new VIP Express line for only $5 extra, and GET THE YELL SCARED OUT OF YOU!
