REVIEW
TERROR MAZEThe all new Terror Maze gets underway with an awesome captivation reenactment from the movie Saw, and of course, climaxes with  tragic consequences.  Pay particular attention to the subject's identity.  Game on!  Additional recreations are soon experienced, and performed with shocking realism.  Abhorrent murders, tortures, and mutilation scenes, 'so real you'll think you're in the movies' (as advertised)!  Some amazing stuff!  You'll meet The Reaper, Michael Myers, clowns, a demented doctor, and many others as you twist and turn your way through the spine tingling darkness, and gruesome settings of hangings, beheadings and cemeteries.  A recently butchered hog convulses about in agony, while another pig-faced creature, has assumed human form, and is intent on revenge!  Visit some old favorites like Spike-Man, resting quietly on a bed of nails, but not for long, and the patented chainsaw entrapment, from which there appears to be no escape!  Blood curdling screams, unnerving alarms, and other deafening noises, along with a most intimidating passage through an actual hearse combine with these wickedly real scenes to expose your deepest fears - all part of the Terror Maze experience.

Analysis:
LENGTH - 9, 21 mins. and easily longer depending on the entrapment.
ACTORS - 8½,  Good balance between make-up and masks.  Intensity is good, but leaves room for improvement in order to keep pace with the ghastly scenes displayed at Terror Maze.  Initial Saw scene, the diabolical, bloody doctor, and Michael Myers finish leave the most lasting impressions.  Chainsaw fiends also receive honorable mention.
SCARINESS - 9, Sound effects, strobes illuminating the trees, and some really intimidating scenes provide a legitimately intense atmosphere.
DESIGN - 8½, A new course this year, and although entrapment, and reenactments are tremendous, they just never quite measure up to that unbelievable beginning.
PROPS - 7½,  Good use of mechanical props, but could benefit from additional decor and fewer tarps.
VALUE - 9, Only $9 with the discount coupon available on their website grants access to some of the most horrific scenes and surprises around.
RATING: 8 ½, Terror Maze has really progressed through the years.  Springfield's longest running haunt really delivers some intense scares this season.  Although a portion of the attraction takes place outdoors, they expect to remain open even if it's raining, as paths are covered with sawdust, eliminating puddles and keeping them mud free.  Even if you've been here before, there's plenty of new and unsettling scenes to warrant a return visit.  Don't forget to include Terror Maze among your Halloween activities.
